Test knitters

Do you have a keen eye for detail? Do you love figuring out how to make a pattern work when they instructions are not quite clear? Do you LOVE knitting, but can’t always afford to buy a new pattern? If you meet any of these criteria, you might be interested in test knitting!

A test knitter is someone who basically gives a pattern a test drive before it is released to the general public. You’ll knit up the pattern, following the instructions exactly as written, then report back to me (the designer) with any issues you come across. Maybe a stitch pattern doesn’t fit into a row correctly. Maybe the pattern tells you to work too many rows for how long the piece should be! Maybe a line of instructions is really unclear, and you’ve got a better way to phrase it.

I am always looking for new test knitters to work with. You don’t need to be the best knitter in the world, or the fastest. All you need to do is commit to providing feedback about the pattern, and to post a photo or two of your project on Ravelry so that other knitters can see what you’ve made by following the instructions.

If test knitting sounds like something you might be interested in, apply to join my testing pool on Yarnpond below! Every time I have a new pattern ready for testing, I’ll send you an email. You can then decide if you want to apply for that particular test knit. There is absolutely no pressure to apply, and there’s also no guarantee that you’ll be selected. I just want to make sure that I’m contacting the people who are most likely to want to work with me.

Test knitters for capricorn fibres are compensated with a full copy of the final pattern (gifted to your Ravelry account) as well as a 50% off voucher for any capricorn fibres pattern, past present or future.
