I have been a knitter for as long as I can remember. As a child, I used to make endless scarves because I didn’t truly understand what I was doing with the needles in my hand. As I grew older, I eventually came to realise what I was doing with my yarn, and I started to knit garments; sweaters, shawls, beautiful lacy patterns, colourwork… You name it, I tried it.
But I knew there had to be more. I wanted to be the creative source behind my pieces; I wanted to come up with the patterns that others could knit and treasure forever.
From this desire, my true passion was born. I wasn’t meant to sit in an office or a classroom. I was meant to create. So I have taken the plunge and started on this amazing journey.
Following designing, came dabbling in handspinning and dyeing, and then my passion for sewing had a resurgence. I have enjoyed creating my own wardrobe and being able to wear my art!
Living in the stunning Dandenong Ranges, there is a huge focus on sustainability and waste reduction, to keep our home as picturesque as it can be! I have decided to do my part and use reclaimed, recycled, donated or destashed fabrics and fibres in order to keep as much textile waste out of landfill as I can. You’d be amazed at what people throw away! This also has the bonus of keeping my items affordable for you – win-win!
I am so excited to be able to share my creations with you. I hope you enjoy with them just as much I enjoy making them!
